Poll Reveals 50% of Americans Are <br />Willing to Take a COVID-19 Vaccine As of May 27, there have been over <br />100,000 reported deaths related <br />to COVID-19 in the U.S. The pandemic has infected over <br />1.7 million people in the country. A poll by the Associated Press-Norc Center for Public Affairs Research was conducted from May 14-18. Of the 1,056 adults who participated, one in five <br />have no interest in getting the vaccine. 31% said they were not sure <br />if they wanted the vaccine <br />when it becomes available. One participant admitted they were afraid of side effects <br />despite not being personally opposed to vaccinations. The survey also says that 61% of people believe a <br />COVID-19 vaccine will debut sometime next year. President Trump has promised <br />that by January 2021, there will <br />be 300 million doses of a vaccine.
